1 Blue Fire Hike Starts Early
If you want to see the famous blue fire, the hike starts around 2:00 AM. Be ready for a very early morning!
2 Wear Warm Clothes
The weather at Ijen is cold, especially at night. Wear a jacket, long pants, and closed shoes.

The sulfur gas near the crater can be strong. A gas mask is recommended and usually provided by your tour guide.
